Hundred or so hours of color correction and clipping path silhouettes later I was finally done. I was going to work off the drive array and then back up on Jazz carts later to pass on to the client. It cost a small fortune because it was the late 90s is about all I remember. They made a big deal about how the drives were used in Desert Storm or something, I can't recall the brand but it was like a stack of drives you could run almost like a raid array. I bought what was supposed to be the most reliable external drive array on the market at the time. So I had to keep the high resolution versions for print which required a lot of space. ![]() In the days loooong before cloud storage, I edited over 1000 images for what was going to be an online and print catalog. This story may make you feel a little better. A local copy and the creative cloud version for colab. I almost always double save everything because I am paranoid and untrusting. The thing I'm most on the lookout for is an Audition replacement their remix feature to automatically cut and slice stock music to a desired length used to be a huge part of my workflow, and I haven't found anything else that will do that up until this point. Also experimented with Resolve, but FCP + Apple silicon is just too convenient for me. Figma is the best out there right now imo, and 90% of your UI design needs are covered in the free plan.
